UFO expert Oscar Sierra is convinced that a significant number of extraterrestrial spacecraft sightings will be reported by Costa Ricans this year.

In recent days, we brought you the prophecies of seer Minor Khayyan who told us last monday - January 9, 2023 - that Costa Ricans will bear witness to a mass movement of UFOs.

"Costa Ricans will experience such a wave of unidentified flying objects as to leave them bewildered. Get ready for the sightings!" - the seer's prediction, verbatim.

Sierra, an expert in the field, remarks:"Costa Rica is a country with an elevated number of sightings per year, and each year we are increasingly confirming the presence of UFOs. I do not believe that 2023 will be different. Rather, since the number of people with camera-equipped cellphones is on the rise, sightings will also increase."

Foremost, the expert stresses that UFOs - as has been confirmed throughout history - increase their presence on Earth when there are major problems in the world. He reminds us that hundreds of sightings were reported during the Second World War.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine currently has the world in a state of agitation and on a war footing, which will cause an increase in these objects, according to Sierra. "Current worldwide upheaval, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, appear to cause an increase in sightings. We're currently dealing with the matter of Russia and Ukraine, seething volcanoes, and earthquakes in almost every continent. We should be prepared to see many UFOs in 2023."

Sierra explains that our country has hot spots - areas in which UFOs are frequently witnessed - which include the Arenal volcano and its surroundings, the Chirripó and Carpintera mountains, as well as the corridor between Ciudad Colon and Ciudad Neilly.

This UFO expert recalls that in in the late 80s and early '90s, when he began to speak out in earnest about UFOs, many of his fellow students at the University of Costa Rica mocked him and rejected him as insane.

In fact, the madness about discussing UFOs all the time was almost normal in Sierra's life. However, the wouldn't mind running into all those who insulted him and mocked him, now that prestigious universities like Harvard (United States) and NASA itself, as well as the Pentagon (the U.S. Department of Defense) now discuss UFOs.

"I am convinced that many space faring civilizations from different parts of the universe visit Earth. NASA, the Pentagon and universities have already taken on the subject, meaning there's something out there. We have confirmation that there was an increase in sightings during the pandemic(2020-2021). This is because they always manifest when the world is in turmoil, and COVID-19 rocked the entire planet," Sierra explained.

The expert has three sighting experiences. The first was in 1971, when he saw a black disk in the sky in broad daylight, which marked him forever.

He has seen over 10 UFOs in the sky in broad daylight on November 22, 1997 - a sighting that was even discussed by the media, since over 50 people witnessed the event.

The third one was in 2003 in the La California district, as the sun when down. He saw a sort of elongated cylinder with lights. On that day he was with one of his brothers who didn't believe in UFOs, and was very frightened.

"They (extraterrestrials) are aware of us. They have visited us for many centuries in vessels of all shapes. People think UFOs are only saucer shaped, but quite the contrary, their shapes are many. In 2023 no one can deny this, as the evidence is overwhelming and daily. We must go about with our cellphones ready for any sighting - it can take place not only looking at the sky, but also at sea, since it the presence of UFOs in the sea has also been confirmed," noted the expert in these objects.

Currently, UFOs are such a serious affair that the Pentagon opened a new office to follow up on unidentified flying object reports, confirming receipt of hundreds of new ones at the end of 2022.

There are very few stories about strange objects in the skies these days. Fabio Zerpa’s lost his ratings. But fans say that UFOs are busier than ever. They complain at the media’s laughter, and collect signatures seeking to declassify the files on the phenomenon that – they solemnly swear – the Government is concealing...

Even when they aren’t always visible, they’re always there. And what’s more, in recent years their sightings have grown in frequency and quantity, to the point that patterns are being defined. This is what Argentinean UFO experts claim, and when asked by Pagina 12, they can do no less than reject what they are told. “Of course there are [sightings] and more of them. The problem is that the media treats this as a joke,” retorts Silvia Perez Simondini, the researcher whose efforts have resulted in the country’s only UFO Museum.

“The thermometer we employ is the press, not only here in Argentina, but around the world. And the press often only gives the news, and then various cases begin to proliferate...but the fact is that the UFO phenomenon is always present,” says the man who has spent half of his life with a name that is synonymous with the flying object phenomenon: Fabio Zerpa. Acolytes of ufology are so convinced by all this that since early June, they have been gathering signatures to request the declassification of secret documents – of whose existence they are fully convinced – from the government of Cristina Kirchner and the congress.

What supports this certainty about what has occurred, and such optimism about what is to come from the skies? For starters, there are over a thousand videos shared on YouTube, nearly half a million websites that mention sightings and share research, in both cases referring purely and exclusively to the goings-on in Argentina. In 2008, the officious records kept by national researchers gave an account of “the great wave”: 550 cases reported in twelve months. Between January and June 2009, when the progression of previous years would have suggested a decrease in sightings, 235 cases have been reported each week. Added to this is the wave of animal mutilations in various provinces.

UFOs come and go. Files endure. For a long time, Silvia Perez Simondini lived in Southern Argentina. “I went from oil well to oil well, because my husband was a petroleum engineer. I lived for eight years in Caleta Olivia, and that’s where I had an extraordinary experience – a UFO flew right over my house, all Caleta saw it. Since then, I made a formal vow to research the subject.” It was August 1968, the day that her middle child celebrated his first birthday, and she was a young woman who could not understand how “an enormous UFO could fly over her house at ten to six in the evening.” It was thus that she became involved in a subject that had interested her not at all, beyond casual conversation. “It changed my life. I found my vocation.”

Forty years later, and living since the ‘90s in Entre Rios (when the city of Victoria became a UFO hotspot), she is the founder of the Museo OVNI and one of the most active researchers in the country. Simondini is also one of the founders of the Comisión de Estudio del Fenómeno Ovni de la República Argentina (CEFORA), which following a meeting held in Victoria, set out to gather signatures throughout the country. “At first we need one hundred thousand in order that a legislator can take on our request and execute a project to present before the Legislature, allowing the declassification of our country’s UFO files. We are already beyond the thousand-signature mark. In the Southern Cone, the only ones dealing strongly with the matter are Perú and Argetnina. We are very enthusiastic, because 22 countries have already declassified [their UFO files]. This is currently underway in Brazil, and it was done in Uruguay, Chile and Ecuador. They have all disclosed what is being held in the military archives.” Simondini says that in Argentina “even the police keeps UFO files,” which undoubtedly multiplies conjectures about what may be uncovered.

Why are you asking for declassification?
We, as researchers, are in fact aware of everything, but this declassification is requested for various motives. Number one, we want people to realize that this stopped being science fiction and is now fact. Impressive things are occurring worldwide with UFOs. Secondly, it should be known that all official agencies have laboratories where this is studied. But in order to analyze the elements that we find in our field investigations, we must resort to private sources that cost a fortune. No one helps us in our research. We have no subsidies, budgets or anything. However, if files were declassified, we could have our analyses performed by university labs. Everything comes out of our pockets, even if it’s only to share it with people. It matters to us greatly that the public becomes aware of all this, because there is then the chance of reporting about things as they occur, which is not being done at the moment.

So then you say that it’s not on account of a dearth of UFOs?
No, quite the contrary. What happens is that when the media invite us, we wind up ridiculed, like circus clowns. If this was official business, no one could laugh.

What kind of information has been consigned to the records?
A lot. The public is never made aware of UFO crashes in our country, but there have been.

The glow that UFOs had in the press dimmed as the spotlights of fictional productions brightened: the progressive disappearance of sightings on news broadcasts, the press and magazines was matched by successful TV series and movies that dwelt on the alien. Simondini is thoroughly convinced that the jocose treatment of the subject matter keeps researchers away, and keeps witnesses from stating their case to the media. The key is in fiction.

Why would [the phenomenon] be displaced by the forum in which these [fictional] accounts are told?
It’s just that in recent times, the truth is being told by movies. Take a look at “La Cuenta Regresiva”. Take a look at “Witch Mountain”. All of these movies are telling the truth, but for a reason. I think that they are being used by the United States to keep from having to make an official statement about what is occurring.

What would this hidden content involve?
Well, in Cuenta Regresiva they’re explaining something scientific that’s shaken NASA at this time...the fact that there’s something happening to the sun. Just take a look at NASA’s website.

Without quite being the highly specialized information provided by the U.S. space research center, Argentinean UFO witnesses, researchers and fans have more than a corner on the Internet. This also transformed – and continued to transform – the logic of how space phenomena operate. Aside from Visión Ovni (the site created by Simondini and from which the radio show she hosts on Monday nights on www.visionovni.com.ar can be downloaded), there is also the Union de Investigadores del Fenomenos Anolmalos, a multitude of sites belonging to independent researchers, and also the digital corner belonging to the dean of the subject: www.fabiozerpa.com.ar

It is Zerpa himself who answers the phone from a location the province of Buenos Aires, where he chose to withdraw when he grew tired of city life, and from which he organizes courses, writes when he can, and devotes himself to the subject that replaced his passion for acting when he was in his thirties. He is now 80, and doesn’t mind mixing it up when asked the question:

So is it true that UFOs aren’t around anymore?
I don’t agree with that. It’s not that they aren’t seen. It’s just that the thermometer we use is the press. And the press doesn’t always give you the story. But UFOs are always present. I can give you a good example— there was a wave in 2008, and an average of two UFOs a day were reported all over Argentinean territory.

And you say that all these cases were ratified?
Yes, of course. They belong to different varieties. There have been encounters of the first kind, when a strange vehicle is seen in the atmosphere. Those were countless. We also have the famous “invisible UFOs”, which the photo camera picks up as a black dot, or a vehicle, or something in the sky. If one magnifies these images, you can see that a technological device is involved: the classic shape of two inverted soup bowls joined at their edges – which is only one of the 163 shapes adopted by these devices, which have all been catalogued and identified. These invisible UFOs are now the most frequent, and there are many witness photos because technology has progressed greatly and it has become easier. These so-called invisible UFOs have a technology that keeps the human eye from seeing them times, but a camera eye can see them. During the 2008 wave there were many encounters of the first kind, but there have also been those of the second kind, which is when the vehicle descends and leaves traces of its manifestation. At El Remanso, a neighborhood not far from where I live, tracks were left in the backyard of a house by an object that appeared at midnight. Crop circles have appeared in Salta – these are geometric circles that result from the presence of UFOs. What happens is that when such marks appear, or a light, it’s not that the object is there. It could perhaps be thousands of kilometers away from Earth.

And supposedly there were many cases recorded this year?
Ten days ago, these lights, which are beams of compacted lights, more like lasers than customary lights, were seen at Nogoyá. They were responsible for cattle mutilations.

Why do they do this?
We have a hypothesis for over thirty years – they simply do this for research purposes. This also happens, but if the press does not echo our research, the public never finds out about it. I have the impression that the media wants aliens to no longer be in the news. They don’t want to see UFOs or the traces left by one. However, it happens every day. It’s as though they’re no longer interested. I don’t know. Maybe they want a spacecraft to land at El Obelisco and have a meeting with Crisitina Kirchner.

Bob Pratt: Saucers Over Guantánamo

In October 2002, INEXPLICATA published an article by the late Bob Pratt in Issue #11. We are reprinting here for the benefit of our new readers. To those who may be new to ufology, Mr. Pratt was a distinguished reporter of the UFO scene since the 1970s, Bob has made English-reading audiences aware of the rich ufological history of Brazil and his book UFO Danger Zone deals with the darker side of the phenomenon in the South American giant.

The story that I was working on about UFOs seen in Cuba didn't work out.

It started in early May when Scott Corrales picked up a story from Ovnivision, which got it from Terra Net in Chile, about an American researcher named Mike Birds having visited Cuba and learned about some UFO happenings there. Scott passed it on to his network of people, one of them being me. I passed it on to half a dozen others who I thought would be interested. One of them passed it on to still others. One of THEM responded with an email to both my guy and me, even though he didn't know me. It included an attachment of an email he had sent to some friends on September 23, 2000, saying a flurry of UFOs were seen over the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay in 1958 or 1959, AND that jets were sent up to intercept them. In doing so, he said, they encountered huge mother ships.

If true, that would be astounding. I immediately replied by email asking if he would mind if I shared that info with others. He replied saying that was all right, but I decided I would rather interview him first to get more details. It turned out we live not too far from each other and we set up a luncheon meeting at a local restaurant.

Let's call this man Bud. Bud said he was 10 or 11 at the time this happened. His father (a high-ranking officer on the base) and mother had been out for the evening, attending the opening of an enlisted men's club on another part of the base. They were driving home late that night on a lonely two-lane road that went through hilly country. The father was driving.

As they came around a curve in the road they saw a disc-shaped object hovering just above a field on their right, on his mother's side of the road. It was 30 to 50 feet in diameter and 50 to 100 yards away from them. It was glowing brightly but the light was not blinding. They could see windows in the craft and what appeared to be people passing back and forth beyond the windows, although no features could be seen. This was all observed while the car was stopped. A short time later the craft began to move slowly away and then shot upward into the dark sky. There was no sound heard from the craft as it hovered or later moved.

Bud said he was in his room at home and knew nothing about this at the time, but when his folks came home he heard his father sternly warn his mother not to say anything about the incident to anyone.

Curious, the next day Bud asked his mother why his father had spoken so sternly to her, and she told him what they had seen. He said she described the craft as "two pie plates joined at the edges."

A day or two later he asked his father about the UFO and his father claimed he didn't know what Bud was talking about. But the next day when his father went off to work, Bud talked to his mother again and she readily acknowledged that it really had happened just as she had said earlier.

Bud said this happened at a time when UFOs were seen frequently around the base for several months. Many people had seen them and that people (his friends as well as adults) talked openly about it. Furthermore, he said, it was no secret that jet fighters were sent aloft from the Naval Air Station at times to intercept UFOs. He said a base newspaper published stories about pilots chasing UFOs and circling around huge mother ships hovering high in the sky as smaller UFOs returned to it. The mother ships were estimated to be 800 to 900 feet long. Bud says he remembered those measurements because aircraft carriers that came to the base were about 800 feet long. "I remember thinking the mother ships were as big as aircraft carriers," he said.

This was just before Fidel Castro and his rebel army overthrew the dictator Fulgencio Batista. When Bud's father's tour of duty ended in 1959, the family moved to New York State. Bud said when his new schoolmates asked him about life in Cuba, he was surprised that no one knew anything about the UFOs.

Some years later, Bud said, he again asked his father about that night and again his father denied knowing what he was talking about.

Eventually the father retired, and he and Bud's mother settled down at a home in Long Island for six months during the summer and in another home in southern Florida the rest of the year.

Some years later, after he had grown up and was out on his own, Bud visited his parents and had rented a videotape of the movie Communion to watch with them. Bud said that in one scene a UFO comes down slowly out of the sky and settled in a wooded area, and as they watched this scene Bud's father suddenly blurted out: "That happened to us in Cuba!"

"My mother nearly fell out of her chair," Bud said. "She said, 'THAT'S the first time he's ever talked about it!'"

Both of Bud's parents died several years later.

Bud's father had a longtime friend, another naval man 15 years his junior, who was also at the base at that time. This man is now retired and lives in California. Bud said he visited him last year and asked if he remembered the UFOs. The longtime friend replied, "Oh yes, we used to see them all the time."

"And the mother ships?" Bud asked. "Oh yes," the man replied.

That's the basic story Bud told me. There were many more details, and the story about his mother and father may have been true. But I now believe the other things probably did not happen, at least the way Bud told me. I asked if I could talk to the old friend in California and Bud said he doubted the man would want to say anything.

Bud is an intelligent man now in his 50s who says he has lived or traveled in 22 countries. If his printed rQsumQ is correct, he has several degrees, including a master's in international affairs. He is a little vague as to what he does now. He says he does "intelligence" work in "mergers and acquisitions," meaning he checks out people and companies that are targeted for buyout by other companies. For some years he lived and worked in Australia but had returned to Florida to handle his parents' estate.

I met with him for a long lunch twice and he seemed quite interested in the paranormal and in conspiracies, especially government cover-ups of various kinds.

A friend of mine vouches for Bud's integrity. My friend was a neighbor for some years and knew Bud and his parents well. He doesn't think Bud would pull anything on me.

Between the two lunches I began looking for other Cuban UFO incidents and, among other things, came across a UFO report by a man named Chester Grusinski. Mr. Grusinski told Flying Saucer Review that he was a sailor aboard the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt and that a UFO was seen one night in September 1958 while the FDR was on a shakedown cruise out of Guantanamo. He said he was one of about 25 men on deck who saw the object approach the ship.

Using the Internet, I found some sites that gave me names and email addresses for about 75 people who had either lived on the Guantanamo base or served aboard the FDR during the time these incidents allegedly occurred.

About 30 people replied, most of them men and women who had been young dependents on the base in the late 1950s or early 1960s and went to the base school about the same time that Bud did. None of them ever heard of any UFOs being seen on or near the base, nor did anyone ever hear of any planes being sent aloft after UFOs.

One woman remembered nothing about UFOs but asked her mother (the father was based at the naval air station from the mid﷓1950s to the early 1970s). The mother said she was certain no planes were sent up after UFOs because she and her husband socialized with officers of all ranks and believes she would have heard something of that nature.

On the other hand, two women (students in those days) said there was always talk about flying saucers. "Platillo volador," one called them. The other woman checked with her brothers and none of them remembered anything about UFOs. "This story has popped up before," she said, "and I don't know of anyone that was at the base during the times we were there 1957﷓1965 that is aware of these happenings."

One man said that as a boy he delivered both of the base's two newspapers in those days, hung out at their offices and read everything in both papers, He said never read or heard anything about UFOs.

Still another man stated: "I strongly suspect someone is pulling your leg on this one... I've never heard of that story and was indeed on﷓base during that time period. I am highly suspect of the claim ... about sending jets aloft to intercept the UFO's, as the Gitmo NAS did NOT have any jet-powered aircraft until October 21, 1963 (the day before the Cuban Missile Crisis began)."

Several people suggested that older boys on the base might have been pulling Bud's leg and the stories that Bud heard back then is what he remembers today, although it is possible that his parents' encounter did happen.

Regarding the Chester Grusinski story, I received an email from a former FDR crewman who said: "I was on that cruise, going aboard the day of the ship's departure on that Gitmo cruise. I was a radarman in OI div. In our division, we also were the ones that stood the look out watches, and I can assure you that the only thing flying were mosquitoes, and navy jets."

Since I do not know Mr. Grusinski or the former radarman, I don't know what the truth is there either.

I informed Bud by email on July 30, 2002 that I have set his story aside for the time being because I cannot get any confirmation. I also relayed to him the replies of some of the others who had lived at Gitmo at the time. I haven't heard from Bud since then.

One benefit of this whole thing is that I found two Cuban UFO web sites, learned about several interesting UFO cases in the Matanzas area in the 1950s and one or two in later years (but nothing about Guantanamo), and I did make contact with several UFO researchers in Cuba.

Peru: Researcher Exposes Secret UFO Sightings and Crashes

Peruvian researcher Mario Zegarra has exposed the concealment of UFO sightings and collisions over the Jorge Chavez Airport, the beaches of Lurín, Ventanilla, or in the traditional Costa Verde or all over Perú. He is requesting a declassification of the phenomenon.

UFOs at the Jorge Chavez Airport, right over at the beaches of Lurín, in Ventanilla or in the traditional Costa Verde. Yes, just so. We will be presenting the 11 cases of UFO sightings and crashes that researcher and ufologist Mario Zegarra claims took place not only in Lima, but all around Perú, and which have been concealed from the population for decades and throughout history for unknown reasons.

Zegarra maintains that these files were jealously guarded by the Dirección de Intereses Aeroespaciales (Office of Aerospatial Interests) of the Peruvian Air Force, currently known as DINAE. But far from making this information known the general public, in accordance with declassification protocols, it was made available to foreigners, who indeed had access to their sources, and took away state secrets.



UFOs at the Airport

Among the 11 cases we find number 00009, which reports the landing of three (3) UFOs on the apron of the runway at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in 1999. A number of witnesses on commercial airliners claimed having seen the UFOs, but when they were about to testify, the military forbade them from contacting the press. Those who took photographs of the event had them confiscated. It is even said some of the witnesses relocated to the United States and never returned to Perú.

The Mirage Fighters and the Costa Verde UFOs

In 1978, dozens witnessed how two Mirage fighters chased a pair of UFOs for 15 minutes from the Pescadores de Chorrillos beach on the Costa Verde in the days of the Morales Bermúdez military dictatorship. UFO crashes were also reported in Lurín in 1971, according to case number 00002. There was another collision in El Callao in 1980. A year later, FAP (Peruvian Air Force) recovered the remains of an oval-shaped UFO in the Ventanilla district, near the refinery.

Other Saucer Crashes

UFO sightings in 1952 were also reported, photographed by Domingo Trigoso in Puerto Maldonado. This case became world-famous, although the photographs were confiscated. In 1967, Captain Oswaldo Sanvitti sighted several UFOs while piloting a Fawcett commercial airliner. His crew also saw them, but was intimidated into discrediting the pilot.

The Santa María UFOs

The case involving pilot Santa María in Arequipa’s La Joya Case (1980) is among the most emblematic. This military man chased a UFO for nearly an hour and even fired several missiles at it. Once retired from the service, Santa María held several conferences, telling the story of his extraordinary encounter with an object that flew at speeds inconceivable to the human mind.

During the Humala Sabía Administration (2011-2016)

“They’re hiding things from us. During the Ollanta Humala administration, I presented documentation aimed at declassifying these documents, which are public in nature, to create awareness among the citizenry and open humanity’s eyes to this worldwide phenomenon. The population must know about its civil right to information. There was an official response at the time, but a Mexican citizen showed and took the DINAE documents without a by your leave,” says Mario Zegarra.

The next time you look at the sky, take a good look. It may be that the light and the intermittent object you’re seeing are not merely that. It could be an intelligence reminding us that we are not alone in this vast, infinitely lonely universe.

Argentina: Raul Baigorri Discusses UFOs in Caleta Olivia

A meeting of writers took place in Caleta Olivia. The initiative, called "Knowing our own history" (Conociendo nuestra historia) featured writer Raul Baigorri, who discussed the subject of UFOs.

He was invited by author Ernesto Allende and presented his book Misterios Pendientes (Pending Mysteries) and highlighted the considerable amount of public interest. "The book is very timely because it deals with several aspects of unknown paranormal phenomena. It discusses parapsychology, UFOs and esotericism as well."

He remarked that he has researched these subjects specifically in recent years. "All of my cases are documented. I carried out my own investigation because there is much documentation and audiovisual material here." He said that he is about to publish two more books on ufology "having to do with UFOs in Patagonia and the Grey aliens who are here. The other is a book on contemporary research from the 1990s. I finished it in 2000 and I've asked to cross-check a number of hypotheses.

Baigorri explained that the "UFOs over the Gulf of San Jorge" phenomenon is on the rise and that he discussed the subject at the writers' meeting. "We have a sacred geometry here, with given place names, that is to say, areas of power with an energy vortex that favors time-space anomalies, causing UFOs to be regularly detected throughout the Patagonian region."

"The UFO corridor is between Chiloé and Sarmiento, and here we have strategic magnetic poles that foster this activity, such as Cerro Chenque, Punta del Marques, Pico Salamanca, Cerro Mesa, Cerro de las Manos - these are all energy centers," he stressed.

Mexico: The Truth Behind “Cigar Shaped” UFOs

A sighting on the Mérida-Tixpéual highway provides answers to this new mystery.

MERIDA, Yucatán – Cigar-shaped UFOs are less widely known than the traditional “saucer” shaped ones or those resembling spheres. This is perhaps due to the fact that in the Yucatan Peninsula, at least, their sightings and reports are less frequent.

Cigar-shaped UFOs look like a rolled-up cigar, as their name suggests. Their aspect is solid and metallic, often with windows on their sides, as in a commercial airliner, but without wings or a rudder. One of the earliest sightings of cigar-shaped UFOs occurred in the mid-70s, but also took place during the Belgian Wave of sightigings in 1989-1990, which led to an in-depth investigation by European governments in recent years.

These objects – able to hover in the air for many minutes and then accelerate to fantastic speeds, such as 500 km per second – are generally seen by radar units that monitor air traffic, and are also sighted by commercial aircraft over the sea. In many cases, these UFOs surround airliners as though investigating them, and subsequently vanish at prodigious speeds.

In Yucatan, one of the most reliable reports regarding a sighting comes from Captain Irving Peña Vidal (deceased) in the year 2003, who was able to see a flying object from his ranch, only a few kilometers from the western orbital road on the Mérida-Tixpéual highway in the company of some fellow pilots.

Peña Vidal told this author that he would get together with friends and collaborators of his group FIEPAL (Latin American Spatial Research Group) to look at the sky through various telescopes.

“We had already seen several cases of involving traditional UFOs, but on that occasion (May 2003) we were able to see a cigar-shaped one, which I also believe served as a “mothership”, as several spheres emerged from its interior, more than 15 of them. It was impressive and could not be seen with the naked eye, only with the telescopes.”
In ten years I have only received a few more reports (in Mérida and Valladolid) with regard to this sort of UFO.
Peña Vidal claims having seen a mothership, and the reports from Mérida and Valladolid appear to state the same. But how can we know for sure?

To answer this question it should be noted that “motherships” are at a greater altitude, cannot be seen readily, and the use of telescopes is required. Generally, smaller craft flying closer to the ground can be seen with greater ease.

Sixty UFOs Appeared as Witnesses Drew Energy

Tula de Allende, Hidalgo – Unidentified flying objects formed shapes in the sky and disappeared later, having been visible from Cerro El Magoni yesterday before noon, as thousands of visitors who were “drawing energy” from the archaeological area.

Some of the visitors at summit of Pyramid B, where the “Atlante” statues are located, noted that they held their hands aloft, looking skyward to draw down energy, when they found themselves concentrating – as they turned toward Cerro El Magoni -- on a series of unidentified flying objects that spun rapidly in a single direction.

They noted that they could not exactly specify the number of the objects, but that they could be over 50 or 60, and that the phenomenon occurred five minutes before noon, as the sun beat down upon them.

Witnesses remarked that the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History) employees, located at various points of the site, advised each other via walkie-talkie of the shapes being seen, urging those with cameras to record the image. But inexplicably, some cameras and cellphones were jammed. [The witnesses] stressed that the objects rose in seconds to form a sort of square shape, followed by a triangle and another square, before immediately heading south, forming a letter “S” and then vanishing altogether.

Following the sighting, visitors concentrated at various points of the archaeological site, such as Pyramid A and B, as well as the dancers, testified to the event as “a gift from the Spring Equinox.”

Regarding the phenomenon, INAH staff stated that they had indeed witnessed the sighting over the center of Cerro El Magoni, but that there exists no precedent, in their opinion. The study of phenomena of this sort must not be dismissed out of hand and must undoubtedly be taken into consideration by researchers, so that they will pay more attention to the sky. A similar event was reported last year, and must therefore be taken seriously.

It should be noted that out of 25,000 visitors to the Archaeological Zone during the three-day holiday period, hoping to charge themselves with energy, around 2,500 were present at the time that the UFOs appeared. Most of them said they were impressed by the phenomenon they saw in the sky.

Regarding the visitors’ behavior, archaeologist Luis Manuel Gamboa said is was good, which allowed all activities performed inside the Tula Archaeological Zone to be carried out with success.

All sorts have taken place in Guamúchil, but nothing like what happened yesterday morning and which shall be remembered as the day that UFOs turned up.

Many local residents allegedly witnessed the strange phenomenon of the lights that illuminated the night sky.

Francisco Javier Martínez was among them. He claims that upon leaving his house around 12:30 a.m., waiting up for one of his sons who’d gone off to a party, he was surprised to see spheres of light when he glanced up at the sky.

“I was home, waiting for my son to return from a party. It was around 12 midnight when I heard a noise, and went out the door to the back yard. When I looked at the sky, I saw a very large round light, like a saucer, surrounded by many smaller lights,” he said. Martínez, a municipal security agent, explained that the lesser lights were orange and the large one was white. They were all hanging in the air.

“They stayed there for a bit, and suddenly the lights began to fly off quickly, with the larger one moving away more slowly until it disappeared,” he noted.

“I believe they were extraterrestrials in spaceships. What else could they be? They weren’t normal airplanes or helicopters. They were lights of very strange color that vanished in an instant.”

Someone else who will never forget this day is a local mechanic who refused to give his name, fearful of being laughed at.

At around 21:30 hours, this person left his home in the Las Torres subdivision on his way to Los Achires, where he would meet a friend to discuss business matters. “On the return trip, at around 12:20, I was driving along when upon leaving the subdivision, on a section of dirt road with a curve, I saw a bunch of lights in the sky. One of them larger, surrounded by the rest.”

The mechanic noted that there were around 21 lights suspended in mid-air. They later dispersed at high speed.

To many, UFOs are mere fantasy. But those who saw them will always remember the day they appeared in Guamúchil.

Luis Burgos: Four Out Of Ten Argentines Have Seen a UFO

These are the statistics kept by the Fundación Argentina de Ovnilogía, which has been investigating the phenomenon for 43 years. “Argentina ranks among the best and most significant UFO activity cases,” Luis Burgos, the organization’s president, told INFONews.

In most cases, people say they saw “something in the sky” with many lights, but are unable to say what the “something” happened to be. Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) have always been enshrouded in mystery. Their origin remains an enigma.

The hypothesis circulated for centuries is that UFOs, or at least some of them, are a means of transportation employed by beings from other worlds or parallel worlds.

Luis Burgos is the president of the Argentinean UFO Foundation (Fundación Argentina de Ovnilogia – F.A.O.) and has been researching the phenomenon in the country since 1969. “Aliens don’t land just anywhere. They have hot spots or active areas. In our country, the provinces of La Pampa, Córdoba, some regions of Entre Rios and Salta are hot zones, and in Buenos Aires we find the area known as El Nido, dubbed the “western corridor”, he explained to INFONews.

This expert on the subject stated: “4 out of 10 Argentines has seen a UFO at some moment in their lives.” Luis Burgos, who performs this task with passion, noted that: “We are not interested in proving all of the cases, nor rejecting them all, and within this context we find an overwhelming number of cases that have occurred over 61 years and have no “rational” explanation. Without going into ships from outer space, cosmic messages or good or evil creatures. If we can’t identify it in flight, it’s a UFO. It’s a USO on the water, a “phantom” UFO if it appears in pictures, a UFO landing when related prints are found, and so forth. So what’s the problem? In the final analysis, we’re not speaking of UFOs made by Ets or UFOs made in the USA. Simply objects whose origin cannot be ascertained.”

FAO is an open group. It includes office workers, physicians, engineers, businesspeople, police officers or mere enthusiasts. They meet every week in a small store at Calle 10 y 59 in La Plata. They submit photos and videos to analysts, receive e-mails and phone calls about sightings all the time and travel at their own expense when the sighting justifies it. “We don’t profit from the phenomenon; we’re not interested in that,” Burgos says.

UFOs in These Pampas

Burgos, who documents all his ufological information at www.ciencia-ovni.blogspot.com, states that Argentina holds the world record in UFO landing marks. “In 1985 we detected 150 landing marks in a single field in Atalaya, Magdalena. Never again has there been a similar event.”

Moreover, FAO’s president states: “We rank second among the world’s countries when it comes to cattle mutilations.”

Mass sightings of these flying objects in our country took place in 1965, 1968 (the biggest year), 1978, 1985 and 2008 (Over 550 cases reported). In 43 years of research, Luis Burgos reported the presence of UFOs on eight distinct occasions.

Which of these instances impressed you the most?

The one on 4 March 1986, when seven members of FAO witnessed an amazing sighting. It involved two lights that looked like stars, but larger. Their color shifted from blue to white to read. We were some 50 kilometers from La Plata, in the El Espinillo field. When we crossed the cattle gate and stood on the Rio de La Plata side, two objects performed an aerial dance from 9 p.m to 9:45 p.m.: they came, they went, one above, the other below. It shattered all conventional possibilities. In a given moment they came near the group, getting closer and closer, and we didn’t like that at all. “Fellas, let’s run!” I said, in the group, one member who engaged in survival training, said: “Hit the dirt!”. We all dropped to the ground, but the photographer managed to take a photo showing two luminous dots.

Burgos stated with conviction that according to his statistical computations, “the next great Argentinean wave will take place in 2015.

J.J. Benítez, a scholar of the UFO phenomenon and the life of Jesus of Nazareth, author of best sellers such as “Caballo de Troya” is the source of the phrase “If you knew the truth, you wouldn’t believe me” and having ties to Andalusia since childhood, he has now settled near Seville.

What led you to move to Andalusia?
An old dream. My father and a considerable part of my family come from Barbate. I would spend summers in Barbate. A very happy time. That’s why I wanted to retire to these lands. Dreams almost always come true.
And why did you buy a house so close to Seville?>
A twist of fate.
Are the skies of Seville conducive to UFOs?
As far as I know, as good as the rest.
Do you still leave a red rose at the feet of the Cristo del Amor in Seville?
It’s been a long time since I’ve come by El Salvador. Before, in fact, I would leave a rose at the feet of the statue of the Cristo del Amor, but it was always a white rose. I’m still indebted to Him. I would leave the white rose out of sheer love.
The former director of the Seville Archaeological Museum recalls that it was you who penned the “false” report of the mutilation of Roman statues in the museum. What was that all about?
One day, in the company of photographer Alberto Schommer, we learned that Cardinal Segura had castrated the Roman statues in the Seville Archaeological Museum. And Schommer photographed the Cardinal’s “doings”. We published it in El Pais later on. What’s incredible is that the marble penises remain in a box at the museum. Labeled, of course.
What’s the worst trick that’s ever been played on you?
No one tricks anyone. It’s all written.
So no one has managed to fool you at times?
Some have, of course. It’s all part of the game.
Are you unable to tell a lie, or can you lie like most people?
I find it hard to lie. I suppose it’s readily apparent.
Did you try Ayahuasca?
I tried it once. I had several astonishing experiences but I won’t try it again. It is the most potent of alkaloids. You can fly like Superman, walk through walls or see the future.
Is it harder to believe in God or space aliens?
Much harder. The aliens are there. They’re detected on radars, they’re photographed and much more. It’s possible to feel God, but that’s it.
Do you believe in miracles?
I don’t think God tampers with the natural order of things. It’s an entirely different matter that we cannot understand how to turn water into wine. Future science is magic to us, but it will still be science.
You [celebrate Christmas] on August 21. Why?
I observe Christmas on August 21st for 27 years now. I understand that it was Jesus of Nazareth’s date of birth. The Church manipulated the subject to suit its interests. In December, the weather in the hills of Bethlehem is so extreme that no shepherd leads his flock there.
Your friend Ignacio Darnaude stated that he’d been phoned by extraterrestrials. How close have they come to you?
I had a close encounter at around five or six in the mountains of Navarre. I’ve seen craft on other missions.
Do UFOs sell as well as they did before?
When a new UFO flap is recorded, and it will happen, the media will take an interest in the subject once again.
Why does everyone believe in penicillin and not in UFOs?
It’s a matter of being informed. One doesn’t believe or disbelieve UFOs. UFOs exist. There’s proof by the millions.
Have you ever had a book rejected by not being commercially viable?
Yes, once. It was called “Caballo de Troya”. The editor wanted me to cut 400 pages. I refused, of course.
Will you ever publish your poetry?
I hope never. Poetry is part of a human being’s intimacy.
Did you leave journalism out of futility?
No, I left journalism because it’s not possible to shoot two bows at once. I was either a journalist or a UFO researcher and writer. I opted for the latter. But I still see life as a journalist would. In fact, being a journalist has been useful when it came to writing one hundred and fifty books.
A few years ago, your death was falsely reported. Who did it and why?
People tend to kill me off on the Internet every so often. You’re referring to the story that appeared in “El Pais”. The responsible parties were members of a cult.

Arroyo: Do you have any theories about why more UFOs are seen in September?

Sáenz: We once spoke to [Mexican ufologist] Daniel Muñoz and he told us that more UFOs would appear in photos and I think in part it's due to what he told us. We've always found photographing them easy, but now we do so more frequently.

Arroyo: What types of UFOs have you seen?

Sáenz: We have seen two types - luminous ones and disk-types.

Arroyo: Do you think there is a direct relationship between UFOs and volcanos?

Sáenz: Of course, when we see a UFO there's volcanic activity. When a volcano erupts, the objects fly past and can be seen among the ashes. There is a direct relationship between both.

Venezuela: UFOs Visitations in Venezuela

Planeta Azul appears once more, this time in Venezuela, a South American region rich in hydrocarbons, potable water and minerals. Throughout time, Venezuela has been visited by Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and there are countless examples of sightings and even people who claim having experienced encounters with beings from other planets. There are few who can remain indifferent and not take sides in this subject, either roundly denying these theories or supporting them vehemently.

Regarding the phenomenology of UFOs in the skies of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, it is said that "numerous sightings" have been recorded in this Latin American nations. "The first of them goes back to 1900. However, due to the lack of dissemination of scientific information about these subjects, people tend to mistake natural and meteorological phenomena, or even airplanes, for UFOs.

Alleged UFO sightings have occurred in nearly all of Venezuelan territory, but eight states are considered "hot spots" due to the appearance of this phenomenon: Amazonas, Bolivar, Distrito Capital, Carabobo, Falcón, Mérida, Vargas and Zulia. "All of these sites have two common elements: an abundance of vegetation and water," although the state of Barinas gives us an interesting case of abduction and human-alien hybridization: When she tried to ascertain the source of the noise that had awakened her, Cecilia (who would rather not be identified by her real name) realized she could not move. She had not covered herself up with bed sheets because of the intense heat that night in 2005 in the city of Barinas, in southwestern Venezuela.

She was unable to see anything. Before her, there appeared a very bright green light that forced her to shut her eyes. Motionless and unable to see what was happening around her, she felt herself being sexually penetrated and unable to do anything to stop it.

She woke up around noon, unable to remember what happened later. In subsequent weeks she would find out she was pregnant.

Cecilia explained the event to one of her neighbors. She had been 'abducted' that night, and she claims that her daughter, who is now twelve years old, presents 'particular characteristics' that she refused to elaborate upon, but which caused her to remove her from school due to the harassment she suffered at the hands of other students.

It is precisely because her daughter has undergone so many bad experiences that Cecilia refused to subject her to medical tests. Her case has not be scientifically studied.

Alleged Venezuelan sightings have occurred at different times, both day and night, with clear or cloudy skies.

The data compiled shows that circular, triangular and elongated shapes - cigar type - have been seen.

The vast majority of cases received in our newsroom are classified as "chance UFO sightings" because the person was unable to see the UFO with his/her own eyes, but rather were picked up their camera lenses. In other words, the witness finds out upon downloading the image.

Planeta Azul believes that no one is qualified to state whether UFOs of an extraterrestrial origin truly exist. In fact, a UFO is not necessarily a spacecraft. Someone can toss a shoe in the air and if someone sees it, but cannot make it out, that person will have seen an unidentified flying object. UFO is not synonymous with extraterrestrial. In recent years, there have been sighting reports over nearly all social and political demonstrations that have taken place since the start of the Bolivarian Revolution," giving rise to the theory that some kind of man-made artifact is involved - one that is unknown or about which little information exists.

I believe that many things have happened in Venezuela from the political standpoint, and that this country has been beleaguered and harassed. For example, we have photos and videos of people attending the demonstrations and who manage to capture some object in the sky. Is it possible that these are objects that are still unknown to us? Are they used to spy or photograph? This is possible, particularly in the awareness that the Pentagon has developed micro drones with very powerful microphones and cameras. When delving into the UFO phenomenon, one has to look closely to sort information from hoaxes that may be taken as real. We would never dare to say that it was an alien spacecraft. We always speak in terms of alleged flying objects."
