Argentina: Teacher From Salta Claims Seeing UFO on the Way to Cafayate

It was around 4 a.m. on Wednesday. "I was alone on the road. I pulled over and observed for a long time," says the philosophy instructor.

Pale, nervous and above all shocked by the experience, Carlos Paz Morales, a philosophy instructor, claims having seen a UFO on the way to Cafayate.

"I was returning to Salta on Wednesday morning, as I usually do every week upon finishing my teaching duties at the former Escuela Normal de Cafayate (Cafayate Teacher's School). It was around 4 a.m. when I saw a light flooding me from behind my truck. I thought it was a car, but saw absolutely nothing when looking through the mirrors".

In an interview with El Tribuno, Paz Morales said that all he could think of doing was pulling over on the shoulder, near the stone formation known as "El Sapo."

"I got out of the vehicle. Despite the fact that there was an astonishing full moon - I think the one they call Strawberry - the road was dark. I could only see a strange object in the hills. I had it there before me, not too far away. I thought it might be one of those lights they place on top of antennae, but it couldn't be, as it was white and rather large," said the teacher.

The luminous object, according to the Saltean philosopher's description, was elongated, cigar-shaped, and moved from left to right in a zig-zagging, threatening manner.

"I said to myself, I'm not leaving here no matter what happens. If it wants to take me, let it take me. And without removing my eyes from the heavens, because I felt hypnotized, I took out my cellphone, turned on the camera, and took some photos. We were alone - that strange object and me - in the desert, plunged in darkness and ominous silence."

According to his account, the 'face to face' contact lasted some 5 minutes. "But the object vanished in a thousandth of a second, like a flash of light," said Paz Morales.

While the photos show the luminous object, the teacher says it was much larger and startling than what is shown, as his phone's camera is very limited.
