Mexico: Social Media Debates Alleged Cancún UFO

The month of August refused to leave without a few surprises, setting a tough goal to beat for September, at least as far as social media is concerned.

A video concerning a sightning of an unidentified flying object (UFO) over Cancún is making the rounds of the Internet.

According to social networks, this occurred at around 22:00 hours today, when a user recorded a luminous object in northwestern reaches of Cancún.

While the object's provenance is not clearly defined as being "otherworldly", cybernauts have made their position clear: is it a UFO, a weather balloon, or a very tough kite?
